Providing a safe space to learn, grow and develop new skills.

We are happy to provide individuals and families in Scarborough and the Toronto area a collection of community outreach programs suited for every stage of life. From our Safe Walk program to our Seniors programs, our volunteers and partners have come together to offer community outreach programs, services, and resources designed to help people in Toronto area communities thrive! When we can grow and adopt a mindset of learning and hope, we can transform the world around us.

Building Communities, Together

We believe every resident should enjoy building a life in the community they call home. Alongside the incredible partners and individuals dedicated to influencing change in their own communities, we work to improve Toronto area neighbourhoods’ overall health, welfare, and safety. Our goal is to create a place where people may be valued, supported, and encouraged every time they leave their home- all while feeling safe and secure.

Why We Do What We Do

Our community outreach organization was initially created to meet the Mornelle Court community’s needs after a series of horrific gun violence took the life of a 17-year-old teenager who was sent by his mother to purchase a bag of milk. Not only was this young man unable to fulfill his purpose in life, but his death sent ripples of fear and anxiety throughout the community. Parents, afraid to send their children to school or allow them to walk throughout the neighbourhood, needed a support system they could trust. We recognized this need and made it our mission to help lessen the activity and effects of gun violence while bringing peace back to community members.

Positive Change Has the Power to Impact Us All

  • They are an exemplary example of community-based activism to boost up and champion the children of our community to ensure that they are supported towards improved life outcomes in the future. Angela and her team ensure that not only do our students make it safely to and from school everyday, but also, that they are supported in their mental, physical well-being, and in their academic pursuits...Their support extends and supports our parent community, allowing them to feel comfortable perusing schooling and employment knowing that their children are well-supported before and after school, as well as during Winter, Spring, and Summer breaks.  We are deeply appreciative and so absolutely fortunate to have the amazing support of this wonderful group of people and take every opportunity to proudly share how fantastic and selfless the entire team is in working with us to bring our students to the forefront of the next generation of young adults.”

    - Shoail Shaikh, Principal, Military Trail Public School

  • Each year, I place students with Angela in the Mornelle Court Safe Walk and All-Stars program, where the students learn about community development, civic engagement, and the importance of participation and collaboration through program activities...They always return to class energized, enthused, and full of great ideas about community development. Some students even continue working in the programs after the end of the course...As someone who grew up near Morningside and Kingston, I know how important and necessary these programs are for kids in east Scarborough.

  • As Councillor of Ward 24, I support and commend all the work being done by  All-Stars Community Outreach and what they have achieved in their community.  They work tirelessly to ensure that Mornelle residents feel safe and supported, through various programming and activities they provide for a variety of age groups.  At City Hall, this group has been held up as an example of what you can do with community-based programming.  I am proud to know that Ward 24 consists of people who are willing to give so much for the benefit of their community.

    - Councillor Paul Ainslie, Ward 24, Scarborough-Guildwood

  • One of the organizations I got to work with in my time with Mornelle was Toronto Police 43 Division and their Community Engagement Officers. These officers support the  SafeWalk program, Summer/March Break camp, community outreach and occasional after school drop ins. I found the work inspiring as the officers – with the support of Angela – were helping bridge the gap between local law enforcement and the community that has for a long time felt disconnected. As we see today this gap is growing as community members in diverse, low-income, marginalized communities like Mornelle feel targeted rather than protected by local law enforcement. The work Angela does is important (now more than ever) in building a positive relationship for the future.

  • My decision to become a Social Service Worker was inspired by a member of my community who has dedicated her time to developing the community. It was through the then Mornelle All Stars that I met Angela. My youngest daughter was part of the Safe Walk and After School programs and my older daughter who was in high school, volunteered for the After School Program. In 2016, I started to volunteer with Mornelle All Stars. It was through my volunteer work with Angela that I rediscovered my passion for working with and helping individuals. I had the opportunity to attend community partners' meetings and to share my ideas on how we can develop the community. I am proud to be a part of this organization that focuses on inclusiveness and diversity and providing support to community residents who experience barriers and marginalization. All Stars strive for equitable access and building positive relations with the children, youths, families, and seniors.
